Tour de Tea - Dorset rider leads Tour de France

Dedicated Dorset farmer Peter Lemmey and pal Martin Bate are currently leading the Tour de France...The pair of pedalers decided to raise money for the RSBP by completing the gruelling 2,280-mile tour by setting off a day ahead of the professionals.

They are being sponsored by companies including the Dorset-based specialist tea merchant The Tea House Ltd, headquartered in Higher Halstock, and have been drinking their favourite Tea House blends while training, including The Tea House Special Blend.

By completing the tour they hope to raise £10,000 for the bird charity and have been inspired by Pete’s father Mike, a pioneering organic farmer who died late last year.

William Ellis 6th form students, undertaking a sponsored walk for their China Study Trip, stop off at The Tea House.

John Forrest of William Ellis Schools says...

William Ellis School is a state school located on the edge of Hampstead Heath, in north London and a member of the La SWAP sixth form consortium, the largest sixth form college in London.

For many years William Ellis has offered mandarin as an additional language option to all year groups. Since 2005 we have had a formal link with Yunnan Nationalities Schools, in Yunnan Province, in south-west China.
