National Tea Day 2017

What is National Tea Day?

On 21st April every year, British National Tea Day takes place. National Tea Day is all about tea, community and fun. It is an opportunity for people to try new blends which they wouldn’t otherwise try. It was founded by tea enthusiasts as a community movement of tea houses to promote tea in British culture and also highlight charitable causes which use tea to fundraise or bring people together. The event has now grown to become a platform for tea brands to promote both taste and ethical sourcing practices.

National Tea Day promotes the use of the hash tag #Nationalteaday on social media to share your tea stories. This hash tag which was actually one of the top 10 trending hash tags in the UK at this time in 2016. Let’s all help make this happen again this year!

How can you celebrate?

Those of you in London may like to celebrate in style today in the splendour of Kensington Roof Gardens in West London with the National Tea Day Festival 2017. Guests will have the chance to try & buy niche tea blends, sample teas from across the globe and join baking masterclasses.

If you can’t make it to Kensington, but are in the UK, wherever you are there will be a delightful tea house or hotel in your area which is an official partner of the National Tea Day and will be offering a luxury tea experience. You can check out the participating selection of venues near you at Tea Near You

Or, why not celebrate in a unique way and not host your own tea party?

You can brew exactly what tickles your taste buds and combine it with whatever gourmet snack or cake that takes your fancy.

It’s so easy to get social using #Nationalteaday.
