Late harvested large leaf Sencha - it is said life in Japan would be unbearable without this tea.

Bancha is considered a lesser grade than sencha because it uses leaves that are from later harvests (after the second) or from lower shoots of the tea plant but for Japanese citizens this is their everyday essential tea.
