Peach Iced Tea Recipe

Peach iced tea in a wine glass with a chopping board next to it, covered with peaches, grapes and blueberries.

Summer in a glass! Simple to make, thirst quenching and full of antioxidants. Peach iced tea is the perfect drink to serve at your next summer gathering. Plus, natural sugars are much better than processed soft drinks. We recommend using English Breakfast, Assam, or Earl Grey tea.

  • 4-5 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced (You can also use frozen peaches if fresh ones are not available)
  • 2 litres of water
  • 4-5 tsp of black tea, we recommend using English Breakfast, Assam, or Earl Grey tea.
  • 100g of honey or agave (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Lemon slices (optional, for garnish)

  1. Prepare the peaches: Wash the peaches thoroughly, cut them in half, remove the pits, and slice them into wedges. If using frozen peaches, thaw them according to the package instructions.
  2. Make the peach puree: In a blender or food processor, add the sliced peaches and blend until smooth. You can strain the puree if you prefer a smoother texture, but some people like to keep small peach bits in the drink.
  3. Brew the tea: In a large saucepan, bring 1 litre of water to a boil. Once the water boils, turn off the heat and add the tea. Let the tea steep for about 5 minutes (or according to the tea’s instructions). Strain the tea and allow the tea to cool down to room temperature.
  4. Sweeten the tea: While the tea is still warm, add honey or alternative to the tea and stir until it dissolves completely. You can adjust the amount of sugar to your taste preference.
  5. Combine the peach puree and tea: In a large pitcher, mix the peach puree and the sweetened tea together. Stir well until they are fully combined.
  6. Chill the Peach Iced Tea: Add the remaining 1 litre of cold water to the pitcher and stir. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours to allow the flavours to meld together.
  7. Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled Peach Iced Tea over the ice. Garnish with peaches, fresh mint leaves and lemon slices, if desired.

Enjoy your refreshing Classic Peach Iced Tea on a hot day! Feel free to adjust the sweetness or the amount of peach puree to suit your personal taste.
