The Tea House is committed to protecting the privacy of its users and customers and newsletter sign ups. This privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") is intended to inform you how our website – theteahouseltd.com (the “Site”) - gathers, defines, and makes use of personal information for the purposes of our interactions with you.  Personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from the “Site” and when you sign up for our newsletter.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit the Site, certain information is automatically collected about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, information is collected about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

Additionally, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit, debit card numbers), email address, and phone number in order to process the transaction.  We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

When we talk about “Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

HOW DO WE USE THE INFORMATION?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing payment, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).  Additionally, we use this Order Information to communicate with you about your order and to monitor the orders we receive.

SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell, otherwise disclose, or share your Information, except as described in this Privacy Policy. 

We may also share your Information with service providers who perform functions and services on our behalf. Such third parties will be appointed as data processors and will be provided only with information necessary to perform the services on our behalf but are not authorised to use such information for any other purposes and are required to be GDPR compliant.

We reserve the right to transfer your Information in the event that we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets, in accordance with applicable law. Should such a sale or transfer occur, we will use reasonable efforts to direct the transferee to use your Information in a manner that is consistent with our Privacy Policy. Following such a sale or transfer, you may contact the entity to which we transferred your Information with any enquiries concerning the processing of that Information.

YOUR RIGHTS

If you are an EU resident or resident of a country to which the GDPR applies, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are an EU resident or resident of a country to which the GDPR applies we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. 

DATA RETENTION

Order Information is stored on our Secure Server (SSL) and is used to process your orders, and to help protect you against fraud. The Secure Server (SSL) encrypts all of your personal information, to ensure that the information you give us is protected against unauthorised access. When you place an order through the Site, your Order Information will be retained for our records and for facilitating further purchases unless and until you ask us to delete this it.

CHANGES

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
